What is Illustrative tattoos?

Illustrative tattoos can encompass a wide range of styles. They are usually comprised of medium, fine lines or differing line weights, along with shading, cross hatching and usually tied to folk lore or whimsical themes.

They are tattoos that look like they could be pieces of fine art or illustrations from storybooks or comics (think drawings on paper with ink). They can be either colourful, black and grey or blackwork and can different from artist to artist.
